UPDATE! EACA Meeting - 17 March Rescheduled to 24 March |
The next EACA meeting has now been rescheduled from Thursday 17th March, to Thursday 24 March 2011, at 6 pm in St Augustine's Church, George IV Bridge.
As suggested at the last meeting we will make preliminary arrangements to organise a pre-election Anti Cuts Hustings in April. The most likely date will be Tuesday 26th April. All major political parties are being contacted to request that they participate. Any views on how this event should be organised will be most welcome.
It has also been suggested that we plan a public meeting in the middle of May to discuss the outcome of the Holyrood election. This will be on the agenda on the rescheduled meeting on 24th.

The Edinburgh City Council meeting on 16 December will make the biggest decisions we have ever seen on cuts, redundancies, privatisation and closures. We need people to turn out in force to tell the Council ‘There is a Better Way’ and that we will defend jobs and services.
The City Chambers, 8.30 - 9.30am, Thursday 16 December. |

If the government privatises the Royal Mail and Post Office Limited they will have to start bidding for the work they currently do. History tells us this will mean Post Offices will close. Say NO to the sell off the Royal Mail and the Post Office Network by making your voices heard at the public meeting, hosted by the Communication Workers Union (CWU).
